Default Holes in fender well

what where these 2 holes used for it on a 69 Camaro driver side inner fender well

I agree with Rick that it's for air conditioning, but I don't think the bracket in the pic is correct. I looked for a long time for the correct bracket as they weren't available as repop, or the repop was not even close to correct. (I can't remember which) I finally found one on a 69 Impala in a junk yard.

I think the correct one is wider, and has 2 reinforcing ribs near the edges. The corners are also cut at 45 degrees.

All the a/c items attach to the RH fender well. The only thing I could think of was some sort of a servo for cruise control...Joe

well what ever it was for I don't think it supposed to be there now I have to pull the fender to fix it THAT SUCKS !!!

Missed that, I saw Rick's photo, and missed that the original photo was of driver side inner fender.
