Default 69 L78 Short Block 396/375 HP

This is an October 17th 1968 dated 272 L78 shortblock. The block is .030 with Keith Black pistons on 3/8th Dimple rods. It has a 6223 crank. The cam is a brand new comp cams roller cam. The suffix code is KF for a 69 chevelle L78 with a TH400. These was just completely gone thru with all new bearings, completely disassembled and clean. Machine shop bill was $1270

There is a VIN by the oil filter, i bought this motor from the original owner who still has the car, and bought it brand new.

He swapped it out with a 512 427 shortblock. Theres a personal story behind it that i dont want to share as to why hes doing it

Bringing this back up, has now been completely freshened up. Disassembled. cleaned, all new rod, main, cam bearings, brand new comp cams roller cam

I got a set of 3919840 square port heads dated J-30-8 & J-31-8 that are in line with the time frame of the block if anybody needs a set for it. I have a set of new stainless valves and the springs to put them together as well.
