Hey Bob,
Think of the opportunity this show is offering you. You actually get to take the car out and drive it next weekend! You won't need to clean the rear tires off when you get there either.

And don't worry, I'll guard your '64 from those pesky thugs while you're not there.

Indeed, and I am sure the Bob you are referring to is me, since in the fine print there is a paragraph about a certain Bob being authorized to use any car within a 50 mile radius for any purpose at any time from November 19-23.

I wasn't able to attend this year's show much to my disappointment, my interest lies with the early muscle cars so I was very excited about the 409 display. Tonight is the first time that I have had a chance to look at the photos from the show. Having studied the photos and remembering back that these cars had to be correct factory built 409 cars I can not help but question the 65 Impala that is shown with the group. A 65 Impala with a 425 hp engine and a/c??? Come on, Chevrolet never offered a/c with a solid lifter 409 motor and only the 340 and 400 horse engines were offered in 65. I see that the car is displayed with some paperwork which I'm not able make out but I have never seen any factory documentation that would support this equipment.

Tommy- 65 340hp car with 2x4s added. What it is and how it came to be included is addressed in this thread exchange:

Tom,
Thanks for that link, I had not seen it and I kinda thought that might be the case. The display sign says "1965 Impala SS 409/425 # matching engine and transmission". That sign is very mis leading, it may be a # matching 409/340 but it's not a 425. Still looks like a very nice car.
