Default Who’s in Florida now for Mecum??

Curious if any of our members are there. Especially anyone who might be interested in putting eyes on a car or two

Mike

I looked at the orange Z and it was pretty. Prices are crazy.
I’ll miss the 8,500 mile blue 427 Corvette today, it will be interesting to see what that goes for.

The group of red Fords from Houston sold for lots of money, i lThe 69and 70 Shelby’s brought big money as did the Boss 429’s.

I’m shocked at what most stuff is bringing.

I saw the assembly stamp and looked ok and the vin looked like it could be original by the oil filter. Axle stamp lined up. The vin was on the transmission but assembly was P0M07C
I am not an expert on 2nd gens but could a 04D car have that as a date??
It was a nice car. I was under it and looked it over good. It was not painted underneath and had red oxide primer. Interior looked factory.

There was a note pad in the glove box on some things they had done to the car, had air shocks, and some other odds and ends. Said in 2014 it was bought for 56500

Funny thing, the 70 z never ran. Dead battery and even jumping it would not run. Fired a couple times. Last car I was interested in gere wouldn't start either. 71 Cuda in Bahama yellow with a 340

I was surprised the Corvette sold for about 60% of what the owner paid for it!
Big surprise when so much stuff of the stuff selling seemed over inflated!

The price four years ago was inflated by all the pomp and circumstance they put on when the original owners son sold it. A car can only do that once and the wind comes out of its sails. It's a nice car, but certainly a more realistic price this time. It was the first time I've seen the car in person and I got to look over, under and inside of it.
