Default Torque Flight 727 Valve Body

I am rebuilding the 727 Torque Flight in my 70 AAR Cuda and the original full throttle kick down valve body has been messed with and I can switch it out for a partial throttle kick down valve body or repair the original. Other than the obvious, I don't know which characteristics would be best for a 340 six barrel. The car drove just fine with the original and 3.55 gears. But not sure if it would run better with the '71 and newer valve body? (partial kick down valve body)

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
