Default 73 Z/28 w/air and column shift

Looked a 73 Z yesterday. Has numbers matching motor with ac (CLK}. Its a Norwood car with Z28 on the cowl tag. It has a turbo 400 column shift. The tunnel has never been cut so I assume its legit. Anyone else ever see one. There asking 3k for it. Larry

Not uncommon. When you optioned an auto car without the console option you got a column shift. They never made a shifter for the auto trans that didn't need a console.

Most cars got an aftermarket B&M shifter or the like somewhere early in their history.

My first 73z was a column shift. It didn’t have ac. Was a turbo 400 car. Paint code 26 type lt Z28. Late production car made first week of July 73..

Have pics with not shifter. I put a floor shifter in it circa 1988. Car was totaled in fall of 1990..

Just fyi. I also noticed that it didn't have deep groove pulleys on it. I'm guessing because of the air conditioning. I've had 73 and 74's that had deep grooves on them but they were non air cars. One was an auto and other was a 4 speed car. Larry
