FEATURES:
Car was built at the Leeds plant and was sold to the Flint Chevrolet Mfg plant. It does have a name on the Build Sheet “J MILITO”. My guess is Flint was on strike in the early part of 1970 and someone there wanted a LS6 so they had one built at KC. Car has several unique options for a LS6. I purchased the car several years ago from a gentleman in Canada. The history I have on the car is from the owner I purchased it from. He purchased the car in early 2000 from a man who had owned the car since the early 80’s. The car was last painted in 1985. It has some dings and scratches but overall for 35 year old paint, it shows very well. It is rust free and has all GM sheet metal. It was stored inside by the previous two owners. I purchased the car for a driver 1970 Chevelle. If you are going to have a driver why not have a LS6. The negative part about this Chevelle is all of the original drive train is missing. I have thoughts and theories of why this may be but it is what it is. The motor is a later 70’s model 454 block with 990 heads and correct 569 intake and AIR exhaust manifolds. Carb is a 750 Holley and ignition is a GM HEI unit. Trans is a Turbo 400 with a slight stall and the rear is from a 1969 Chevelle originally 3:31 ratio. It currently has 4:10 gears. So that brings us to today. I had my made mind up I was going to do a complete ground up and source all the correct parts to restore this back to as original as possible. Thing is I just sold my 1972 Chevelle that was an original Code 48 Sequoia Green. If I am going to do another frame off I want to do another color. I do not like changing the original colors on cars.

The positives on this car outside it was born a LS6 is it does have a lot of its original assembly line part. Bumpers, trim, most of the interior, excluding the front seat covers and head liner, window glass, am/fm tape. Brake Booster and master cylinder. Cowl Induction Breather. I do have the original Build Sheet as well as NCRC Docs to back up the build sheet. It is in the LS6 Registry. There are things incorrect with this car but there are also things that correct. It is a solid honest car. It sets correct. Doesn’t look like a 4x4 as a lot of these cars do. Could be taken and drove as is or would be an excellent candidate for a total frame off restoration. I have done minor detailing since I’ve owned the car. Tires, hoses, clamps, etc. Haven’t really dug into it a lot.

I want to present the car the best I can. If I think of anything else important I will add it to the listing. If you have any questions or would like to see other pics please let me know. I can be reached at 901-870-6646 or PM me. If I do not answer leave a message and I will respond back as soon as possible. Car is Located in Brownsville Tennessee. One hour East of Memphis off I-40.
