And the L34 is WAY down on production numbers to the L78. I think there was only 1500 L34's sold in '69 Nova's. I think there was over 7000 L78's though..

Think it was because for a few hundred more $ you could get the L78 and 25 more ponies.This is a very nice car and it's priced fairly IMO.You could probably dicker and get it for $45k-47K.

1969 production stats for big block Nova;

-1947 with RPO L34 396/350hp
-5262 with RPO L78 396/375hp

The car shown looks like a nice Nova...there are a number of minor detail items and some of description info is not correct, but overall it looks pretty good. You probably couldn't buy a car and have a resto done for that amount...worth a look.

Very nice car and one I would fly out to see if it were another color perhaps. I'm looking for a decent Nova and an L34 would fit the bill fine for me in another color.

Thanks for the link.

It's funny, the paint on that Nova almost looks satin on my monitor. Weird.

same here...I think it's just the light diffusers used to provide a "softer" appearance. Note even the bumpers don't "pop" like you'd expect from chrome.

Thanks Wilma. I knew there was a lot more L78's.

I agree though. A nice 4 sp L34 would be a nice driver car, but the color does it now justice.

Now, the side vents???? Wasn't some all chrome? and some painted with just like 1/4" showing chrome???
