Nice. I now where a 66 Chevelle ss 396 is been sitting since 1978. The owner (second first was a gm executive) says the cars one of two that came out of the GM tech center in warren mi. Iv tryed and tryed to buy it says it's not for sale. Claims he's had offers upwards of 30k. The car supposedly is also a local street racing legend. Dam shame.

Currently working on the New frame for it. Will try and update soon. I am Keeping all the Original frame and parts as it was.

Wait, does as it was mean the 427 street stomper, or a factory fresh 396? I vote for the 427 70s build myself.
