Default 1966 Chevelle

Looking for something on Ebay, came across this. Seller states original paint.
Not mine, know nothing about it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1966-Chevro...RfmK3B&vxp=mtr

I don't know a lot about air conditioning because I've never had a collector car that had it- but that A/C system looks like a newer unit, not something that would have been dealer installed in 1966?

I think most GM dealers who installed add-on a/c back in the day used the units available from the GM parts dept. This looks like an aftermarket piece to me.

Definitely aftermarket A/C. You could get them from Sears, among other sources.

Nice 3 deuce set up too.

Aftermarket as there is a big 1/4" plate painted black under the compressor and mounting the compressor to the engine. This was also common on aftermarket installed units.
