Mulsanne Blue 70 Z/28 - original owner, very clean
Another nice musclecar showing up on BAT. Original owner 70 1/2 Z that has lived it's life on the west coast and it shows - look at those floors! The big detraction with this one is the stripes that were added to the roof. The black tail panel and lower valance can be corrected relatively easily. Right now bidding on this one is pretty soft at around $26K. Owner has the original smog parts and other parts that go with the car. Pretty neat to see one like this with the original owner still around to talk about it!

Yeah, this car has been discussed on several different forums...some hate it, some love it. Personally, I think it is basically a good car with some oddities not clearly explained in the long dissertation/description, such as why were the hood hinges replaced? Anyway, whoever gets it I think is getting a very nice original drive train car with really good bones and good docs. Good luck

I read through the description and it says the 350 engine was bored 30 over but doesn't state if it's the original engine. Did I miss something here?

Gotta dig deeper. The engine stamp V0226CTB looks good and legit to me. The P-o-P lists the same engine stamp code and also looks legit. More likely it's the born-with engine that finding another original CTB engine with the same stamp code as the P-o-P. BTW...I do not know the car or seller and have no skin in this game...just sharing my observations.

Seller also said he can't find the VIN stamp on the block. My guess is its there but VERY hard to see with the engine in the car. I had to chemically remove the paint from mine and take several photos from different angles with and without flash to see mine. The stamp is in a rough cast area by the oil filter.

Like to know what the reserve was and what it will sell for. Looks like the high bidder and seller are doing some off-line negotiations.
