Default Roof Deuce Restoration

I really like seeing folks' in-process photos of the restoration of their cars so I thought I'd return the favor.

Most of you probably remember this car being talked about a few years ago on this site. Steve Sandlin bought the car from the Roofs and about a year ago I caught Steve in a weak moment and now I own it. The car is being restored in Donahue, Iowa by the mayor and his crew. The car is going back together now and is a few months from completion.

Earl and Linda Roof were the original owners of this Deuce and bought it in Canonsburg on September 19th 1970.

As found photos:

Note the smog pump bracket is still in place in this photo:

Sammy - I have all of the Roof's Day-2 parts and most are restored. Car will intitially go together nearly stock and eventually Day-2 including original Cherry Bombs, slapper bars, McCreary tires, Fly-eye. headers, Ansen aluminum slots, etc. will come later.
