Default '65 Corvette Coupe - Unrestored & Nice

I hate to call anything a 'survivor' on sYc, and the seller already discloses that the 250hp 327 has had some 300hp mods, which brings the survivor status into question anyway. Still, this one looks to have the original paint, or a very old repaint, as well as the original bright blue interior. Very nice color combo, and looks to be a sweet example of a midyear coupe....

Default 65 Vette...

Wouldn't the aluminum intake be for one of the high horse engines...pretty sure the 300hp version used a cast iron intake, same as the 250hp.

Agree, I was also thinking 350-365hp with the Holley.

----Didn't know that Glen Campbell owned a Chevy dealer. This is just me, but this 65 is right on the edge for being at least partially restored....Bill S

Glen Campbell Chevrolet was not owned by the musician/actor Glen Campbell. It's a small Chevrolet dealership in the village of Williamsville NY (outside Buffalo) where I grew up.
They sponsored our late model sportsman race car that my dad built along with Genesee Beer in the late 60's and into the 70's. They won the '73 New York State LMS championship and many local track championships.
Many crate LT1's went through this dealership for racing and I know a former salesman that ordered a '69 Impala 427 SS convertible in triple black that he still has.

It's truly is a small world....

That's my dad's name on the side, Built by Larry Marx.

fortim, sorry to read of your Dad's passing. Nice that the track is having the memorial for him and the family.
