Default Jeff Beck

Just heard that Jeff Beck passed away suddenly today. He was an amazing guitarist and was a car guy too. RIP Hopefully this is not a dupe. If it is, my apologies.

yes, I was shocked today. He was one of my favorites, next to randy rhodes. I will have to get out my blow by blow album this weekend and play along on the one or 2 songs I can play on it. I played the heck out of that great album. rip.

Talent... very hard if not damn near impossible to copy Beck, yet he could effortlessly play the works of others often improving on the original.

The director wanted The Who for the movie. When they said no the yardbirds said yes and we have crystal clear Beck/Page footage to see today.

The movie was called “Blow up” released in 1966.

Back in the 1980s a friend of mine and I were selling car parts at the Pomona swap meet. I saw Jeff Beck walking down our row and he stopped briefly and looked at what we had. When he kept going I told my friend it was Jeff Beck that was just there looking at our stuff. He said BS. I told him that Jeff was a car guy who especially liked '30s hotrods and it was really him so he tracked him down in the next row and got his autograph. RIP, Jeff.
