Why on earth would someone change the date and sequence number on the trim tag?

Those D96 pinstripes on a Z28 looks hideous, and I don't like them on pace cars athough the are part of the z11 package I just hope these fraudsters are held consequences for their actions.

It’s a nice car. Whether it’s original and correct is one thing. What I mean is an interior change isn’t the end of the world. Why change the tag to match

Why would anyone swap in a tag that added pretty much nothing?

Really? I really like them on an X77 car; just not on an X33 car.

I seriously considered adding them on my 10 10 Z, but couldn't do it. Mine's a late car.

The seller states that someone came by to look at the car and has the real trim tag. The guy with the real TT won't let it go so the seller ordered another fake tag to replace the current fake tag.

From the seller:

"Here is a picture of the original trim tag that belongs on this car. A gentleman brought it to me earlier when he came to check out the car. The trim tag that’s on the car now is the wrong tag. My guess is the previous owner was trying to make the current interior match the car in place of the red interior that originally came in the car. I’ve tried to get the original trim tag back from the previous owner, but no luck. I just got done ordering a duplicate trim tag and it should be here next Tuesday. At least the new trim tag will have the correct information."

Is this car an actual Z/28?

So 3 trim tags in total, none that prove anything that would add value to this car. Kind of nuts.
