Default Clock with console

I am restoring a 69 Copo with the console gauge package. I have read on the CRG website that all cars with the console gauges received the center mounted clock, as it was part of the u16/u17 option, is this correct or was the clock an option on it's own.
another question while I am at it, this car will be a radio delete with standard interior, would the block off plate be the plain black plate or would it have the woodgrain plate?why did the base interior cars have the woodgrain on the left side with the light and wiper blade switch, would it have also come with the woodgrain around the stereo knobs

The clock was included with U17. Plenty of '69s out there with added gauges and no clock.

There was a trim option for the standard interior, Z23 Special Interior Group. This included the woodgrain on the dash cluster and other trim. A Z23 car built without a radio would have the woodgrain block off plate. If no Z23 it would have the standard block off plate with the vertical ribbing. If you need the non-woodgrain plate make sure it isn't the pebble-grain plate from a later Nova. Fits but is not correct.

Camaros built without a radio have a black cardboard cover taped to the bottom of the dash speaker grille.

Clock was included with U17 (but not U16). Also available by itself as U35.

Woodgrain: http://www.camaros.org/interior.shtml#woodgrain

As stated by Kurt, the clock was not avail from the factory with just the U16

I have a picture of THE cardboard piece GM used for the speaker block off, will have to dig it up and post it, it is a NOS GM item ...

a "correct" Z23 car also has the dash mounted assist strap on the passenger side and the bright pedal trim

There are LOTS of cars out there with partial Z23 packages ...
