All 351s were Windsors in ‘69, 2V or 4V. In ‘70, 4V 351 got you the Cleveland motor in Mustangs, while early ‘70 351 2V’s were Windsors, which were then replaced by Clevelands partway through the year.

Tom...do you know what he 4V Cleveland put out for horsepower over the 2V?
Great car and one i'd be interested in if it weren't green

For 1970, the 2v was 250 hp.
4v was 300 Boss Cleveland (R code) was 330 IIRC. But a hard to manage (on today's fuels) 11.7:1 compression ratio. The R Code engine suffers from having intake ports that are too large. Friend of mine runs those heads on his Pantera track car, and uses "port stuffers" that make the intake ports smaller.... but they flow better. That is about it for my knowledge of Ford V8s, other than EVERY 289 or 302 Windsor I ever disassembled had cracked piston skirts, which I always attributed to the horrible rod ratio.

Black Jade, like Burnished Brown, is pretty damn nice looking when applied well, esp in BC/CC, and to me is green in cast, not in how it presents.. The '70 4V ports are too big (from everything I've read) but I think the best way to deal with that is to throw the biggest stroker crank inside that will fit. I wouldn't build a Cleveland with 4V heads, as there are now better options, but I don't think that they're problematic enough to stuff the ports for street engine.

Now there's a shot with some great cars. I really dig blue Shelby's, and the oil and gas collection is nice as well.
And a black 55 hiding in the back too! Your's Tom?

Afraid not. This is the collection of an old friend of mine, Gary McKay. I post pics of his stuff a lot because it’s good stuff, and I get access to it. This particular Black Jade Boss 429 is one of my favorites, just a great original car with a sympathetic repaint blended into the original jambs so well you really can’t tell. He bought it as part of a package with the Nightwatch Blue/Parchment 4sp ‘67 Shelby GT500 next to it (had to buy both). The Boss is now part of Phil Mitchell’s growing collection, as Gary also has a Raven Black ‘69 and a Candyapple Red one as well. (Bought them when they were more reasonable). The black 55 is a custom Nomad he helped build for his close friend that he now owns (RIP Steve).

I would build a nice 393 or 408 stroker with aluminum heads, and leave the exterior patina and engine looking stock, painted ford blue, add a set of 3.90 gears and surprise a lot of people. The 69 351 Windsor block is stronger in the main web area that the later blocks.
