This thread was started around the harsh reality that small businesses, which make up 70% of OUR economy, will struggle and/ or go under. The calamity this will cause could create more tragedy and yes death of major significance. Oil went to a penny today.
Unfortunately we are faced with the lesser of 2 evils, WE are. I’m sure we all have friends or even some of us where this hits home. Sheltering in place prolongs the disease and will cause it to come back. They are going to find that covid has been with us longer then we realize and individuals have already have the antibodies . I feel for Summitt and hope that he can pull it off. God Bless America! |

Oil dropped to $-37.63 a barrel today. That means producers pay that amount to get rid of it.

I see it as an early sign of cabin fever....I have never met Mr. Bader ...the owner at Norwalk Raceway....rest assured if he opens the track ...Governor DeWine will have the welcoming committee there (Ohio National Guard). DeWine will start with a large fine and if that doesn’t get his attention ....it will escalate to some cell time with BUBBA !!!!

For those of us that are financially solvent that is easy to say. There are people who are struggling mightily and they happen to be a big part of the population. Bear in mind I pray for good health for every human but it is much worse for many around us, let alone the 6 trillion additional debt we are acquiring as a result. Our grandkids will inherent that.
I suspect the gentleman from Summitt would be a better advocate for this point then I. |

Agree, and I think you'll see more of this if it carries on longer. 20 million people out of work reported on the news as of this morning and that number is growing. I understand the reasoning on both sides of it but there is going to be a breaking point.

Doug Ducey reported this morning he is going to start slowly opening up a few things in Arizona as the news reported that Arizona is one of only a handful of states that has been the least affected by the beer virus. Only 5500 cases state wide as of today out of over 7 million people. Just over 200 deaths, which seems low compared to some.
I guess this is going to be a state by state deal as governors see fit. Some states are much worse than others. The news also reported Georgia and Florida are among some states starting to open things back up. |
