----It appears to be a nice small block 69 El Camino with a cool paint job. Emblem on the tailgate supports my thoughts!......Bill S

And it have weight unladen 3551 on the title. Small Block 69 El Camino weight is around 3200 Last edited by Carleen; 02-20-2022 at 06:11 PM. |

----The rear quarter emblem is the standard El Camino emblem. Looking at the lack of SS emblems I'll stand by what I said. If the owner took off the SS emblems it seems surprising that all the standard El Camino emblems were not wiped as well. Anything denoting 427 painted on would be suspect, but a 427-425 could certainly have been installed by an owner.....Bill S

1969 COPO Camaros do not have SS emblems.
I have no idea if there was a COPO El Camino in 1969. But if one is out there, I would not expect it to have SS emblems. Original engine would be about the only way to nail it down. If it still has the original rear axle, it should be the same as a 1969 COPO Chevelle rear. Would not be proof, but strong evidence if the date lines up with the car.

I found this online
According to GM figures, a 1969 Custom El Camino (13680) has a curb weight of 3350 (standard equip, grease, oil, water, and fuel. Add: 51 lbs for 350 V8 47 lbs for TH400 14 lbs for bucket seats 12 lbs for console 12 lbs for power brakes 39 lbs for disc brakes 29 lbs for power steering 8-13 lbs for radio |

Unladen weight on a car title may be based upon "base model" numbers.
In OK, the "factory delivered price" on old titles is definitely based on base model. My old Z/28 title showed factory delivered price as $2727. Has to do with minimum excise tax; and I suspect that the weight figure in Arkansas had a similar function. I don't see any reason there couldn't have been a COPO El Camino in 1969. L-78 was available. Again, COPO Camaros AND Chevelles have no SS emblems. Why would one expect SS emblems on a COPO El Camino?
