Default Orig Owner '68 Corvette Convertible, L88 Conversion in '70

I almost fainted when I saw 'L88' in the listing for such a low asking price...but the auction text clarifies that the original owner had the L88 installed in '70. Still a neat car with cool vintage back-in-the-day pics but steep money for a '68 with an engine swap.

I like this car, but I think he is trying to get the money for the restoration back.

Cast iron headed L88? Unless he means that his 427 had L88 pistons, camshaft, intake manifold, ducted hood and air cleaner installed. Also, that's a lot of scratch for a car missing the shroud and the front lower valance.

Green with Tobacco interior is an unusual color. He may be the first and last owner of this car.

The guy is delusional.

"The price is $120,000.00 which is 1/4 of Haggerty's low estimated insurance value ($480K - $580K)."

Hagerty estimates a '68 Vette with a horrendous color change and a engine swap is worth 480-580k?

I'd rather had a '69 small block with the original color and engine for 30-35k.

I believe the insurance company value is for an actual documented L88.

The car is almost as green as the weed he is smoking.
