Default Bob's Big Boy Cruise Night

I drove over to Bob's tonight and the place was packed, it was dark so the pictures aren't the best but check it out.

'67 Camaro

Check out the '64 with the straight axle, blower and altered wheelbase.

Talk about shorty mufflers, this thing was loud!

Here's a real 427 Cobra

Man that Cobra's got a sweet thump to it.

The `64 is off the hook, but those suspension mounting points...

I was looking around with my flashlight and when I saw that view underneath I had to get a picture, I don't know how safe this car is. He said it hadn't been on the street since '69 and was in the second owners backyard when he purchased it a few months ago. I wish the sound was better because both these cars were extremely loud.

That '64 is wild - but having owned a car with a home made straight axle setup - watch out. I'd want to see it run before I got next to it to race!

Great shots - thanks!

It appears that the rear arms *may* be mounted in a double-shear manner (in regards to the through-bolts), but the front arms are obviously mounted in a single-shear manner...and the fasteners themselves appear to be maybe 5/8 max.

Again, VERY cool car, but I sure hope the owner does something about those mounting points...I'd hate to see what could happen when/if one of them fails.

Here's a little more information on the Cobra that's at Bob's just about every Friday night. He's had both of them there at the same time in the past. Pretty cool stuff.
