I'm curious about something else though, there were 8 total holes that were threaded to mount the seat, one in front of the other about an 1"-1"1/2 behind the other. Is that normal or should there be only 4 holes to bolt the seat to?

Eight holes is normal, that is your seat adjustment in a 1st gen camaro.

From the pilot LS6..date on carpet batch tag is seven days prior to build date of car. Cool Delco tag also!

Dave, That's actually what I thought and when I described the 8 holes to a buddy, who happens to also be a Camaro freak said his two cars only had the four holes and that someone must have drilled the two extra holes for adjustment in my car.

My Jun 69 RS Norwood built car had 8 holes. let me check my Jan 69 RSZ VN built car when I get home. I just assumed they all had the eight holes so you at least had a little adjustment.

It has the word SIGNAL pronted on it in black in one direction, and the phrase "hereby on" with twoe other partial lines of text above then when flipped the other way.
