Atlas wheel size question
I keep getting conflicting information regarding the size Atlas wheels that could have come on the 69 Yenko Chevelles. Can someone point me in the right direction and tell me exactly what size wheel would have come on them? I am thinking 15x7 but am hearing and reading many different things. Thanks in advance.

Rick - Check in with Camaro Joe. (Joe Barr) He knows these Atlas wheels.
BTW - the gate guard that waved me thru this a.m. was named A1C Rick Nelson!!

Rick:
Yenko ordered all his L72 Chevelles with COPO 9737. Thus they came with 15x7 Z/28 YH Rallye Wheels and F70x15 Wide Tread GT Goodyear tires. Everything I am reading says that the Atlas wheels were also 15x7. Where is the conflict? You believe they may have been 15x6? |

I would agree Lee. I have heard, read, been told, etc that 14x7 and 15x6 were also an option though I do not think you could get a 14" wheel on there though my understanding is that is what was used on the 70 Deuce. I am wanting to put Atlas or the equivalent on our car and just want to make sure I get it right.

I have a 69 Yenko Camaro with original Atlas wheels. They are 15 x 6.

I am thinking Camaros used a different size than the Chevelle but that is just one of the many things I am researching.
