Agree you don't see a lot of them anymore. And over the years the price went from 1 - 3K (seventies) to 5 - 8K (eighties), etc. to what we see now.

My view of this car is that if the car has been sitting inside, and a couple patch panels, prep and paint, and an interior kit are all that would be required to bring it back, $30K might be reasonable. That is provided only drivetrain refreshing is required.
However, if it has sat outside for any length of time exposed to the WY elements, and been driven there, you can probably assume trunk/floor work and window frame work due to the vinyl top will be necessary. Probably would be a 35 - 45K resto plus the 30K initial cost. If you are going to keep an LS-5 TH400 car forever, that would be one thing, (another one has been saved, yay!), but to break even after a 75K investment is another.

Just my opinion after having been there. "Sometimes you get the bear, and sometimes the bear gets you."

So, you can have it for $30KUS (or whatever negotiated better price you can get it for), or you ca have this Colorado #'s LS-5, 4-speed car (granted it has some day-2 Hipo add ons) for $35K BN.

Opinions?
