This is a real shame. I've still got the 1970 12 bolt in my car. I do have a Nov. 1964 12 bolt to go in someday. I struggle with that choice, because some many of the period wheels don't fit the early Chevelles. I may just narrow the 1970 rear a bit more so I could have a bit more fun with common vintage wheels.

So I trust you're looking for some 14x6 wheels Chris?

[/size]Paul I've been lead to believe I can use a 15x7 as long as the back space is correct.

Not that I plan on changing the rear, but what is the size difference in the later unit?[size:14pt]

The difference is 1" in total, so only 1/2" per side. If I were to cut down my 1970 12 bolt I would probably make it 2" narrower over all. Just cut off the factory bearings off the end and put a Ford style end and be done.

Default 65 wheels and suspension

browsing old threads, the kid surprised me with a set 15" TTs a couple years back which led me to discover that every piece of my suspension was still original and needed upgrades. after much consideration we decided to pull the trigger on a major rebuild starting with floor and trunk sections that were almost non existing where the body bushings sit.

with a few other projects half way done and myself away for the winter the kid managed to pull the interior and motor by himself and send the car on its way for metal work. hopefully the next time I post on this thread we'll see some big changes
