Default SCR25 Honoree

As I eluded to earlier, we have some important and interesting announcements that will be made here in the next few days so check in periodically for the updates. We have secured one or more Guest Speakers for SCR25; we have some sponsors that have stepped up to support us; we have some folks who have donated some very nice and valuable items for the event, ........
AND, ........ we have named our 2022 HONOREE!

So let's get to that First.

Each year at the SCR we honor a person who we feel has been a positive influence on this hobby we all love. The past few years the SCR Committee has sat down as a group on Saturday afternoon at the Event and brought a few names to the table for discussion. Usually it's a pretty short decision-making process even though we have so many fine deserving people that we've met over the years. Sometimes there's one name that just rises to the top and this year is a prime example of that scenario.

This person has displayed everything that exemplifies a SuperCar/Muscle Car enthusiast, and he has done it in every way possible. He owns and thrashes the rarest of the rare; he participates in all types of events from the smallest local shows/cruise-ins to the pinnacle of the Muscle Car genre, MCACN. He shares his incredible knowledge of the cars he loves with all who care to listen and even serves as a judge at these events, including MCACN. I've personally witnessed him giving owners 'hints' and opportunities to correct certain "inaccuracies" in their vehicles before the actual judging process begins. His reputation is that of a fair, honest, and a little bit crazy (in a good way) Car Guy. He is well known throughout the car hobby and has become famous for his smoky burnouts and for the many side-by-side races with his friend and neighbor who also pushes his sYc Camaro to the limits. He is also the First, and Second year recipient of SCR's "COPO Pete Shoot-Out Trophy". His off-beat, fun-loving personality, and his congenial nature has even led Bob Ashton to name the Friday Night gathering at the Double Tree after this guy.

Of course we're talking about our friend, Mr. DRU DIESNER, and we, the SCR Committee, are proud to name Dru our SCR 25 Man of the Year. This should be FUN!!!
