Default 1969 CAMARO RS/SS 396 M21—SOLD!

1969 Camaro RS/SS, L35 396, M21 4-speed with deluxe black Comfortweave interior, console/gauges, clock, comfort-tilt steering column with Rosewood wheel and ZL2 special ducted hood which replaced the stock SS hood. Restored to original spec's in 1993. Recent information from NCRS states that it was sold new at Crest Chevrolet in San Bernardino, CA. It made it's way up the coast to Washington where it was purchased by the restorer and brought to Wisconsin in the late 80's. The car received NOS quarters, deck lid and rear valance—balance of the sheet metal is original. Panel fitment, alignment and Lemans Blue paint are all extremely nice. The hockey stripes are applied correctly—painted (on top of the paint not cleared in) on the fenders and decals on the doors. The restoration was done almost entirely with NOS parts. I was told the engine and rear end are original to the car but the transmission was swapped for one that was already rebuilt as it was before numbers-matching became important. I purchased the car ten years ago and have spent the last six years or so freshening and detailing the running gear and under the hood. All engine components are correct and dated coded to the car's build date. The carb was replated and rebuilt by Harold Demes, alternator, starter, horn relay and regulator were done by John Pirkle Sr., distributor was rebuilt by Jerry MacNeish, brake booster rebuilt and plated by Steve Gregori, the horns were sent to Hornworks in Wisconsin and the steering box was rebuilt and detailed by Power Steering Services, Inc. All pulleys, etc. are correct as well as phosphate hinges and components. New reproduction Delco R-59 sealed maintenance-free battery and Harrison radiator along with Gardner exhaust and valve covers from Crane Corvette Supply. The exhaust manifolds have been porcelain coated. The car is well sorted out and everything works as it should including hideaways and door buzzer. This past year I changed out the original rallys for SS wheels which have correct date codes. MacNeish was out in February 2009 for certification. Asking $65,000/offer. For more information call Bill at 612-875-3825 or email me at [email protected]. There are more photos at the links below. Thanks Yenko.net for the posting!

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement. I'm motivated to sell. If anyone wants more info let me know. Open to trades—'69-'72 Corvette, 4-speed, a/c, original or one repaint with docs. Thanks again.

That is one good-looking car. Honestly, I'm surprised it is still available. They say you should buy the best car you can find for the allocated funds, and this is the best example I've seen in quite a while in that price range. Good luck with the transaction.
