Default 502 Crate ?

Will all OE accessory brackets fit up to a modern crate motor like the 502 ?
Like 1969 BBC A/C, P/S brackets.

Thanks Mike

it was mounted in the back, but you could see some of it hanging from the back of the car. if I was to do a crate motor again I'd go with the 454 you can put a mechanical pump on it.

My thoughts too, I like the 502 in my buddies car, but I don't like the E-pump.

Thanks Mike

Does that apply to the 572 as well?

Mike,

I don't like the fact of having to rely on an electric pump with the 502, but I must say that I have gotten used to hearing it. I've never had a problem with fuel supply, or leaking. The pump is nestled away above the axle (no chance of hitting). Only drawback is that you hear it when parked and idling. The performance is well worth it.

You should post a picture of what you have in mind to put it in??

Nick
Are we talking about a new GM perfomance crate 502 ? There is now provision for the mechanical pump.

Gentleman, there is a GM "Marine" 502 - non fuel pump, and then there is a later GM 502 with fuel pump. I believe they only made a low number production the later GM 502.
