Bruce, Thanks for taking the picture of the Hancock & Lane Racing SS/BS Cavailier
driven by Cody Lane (Father Jeff Lane drives the #3 COMP Elim Cobalt which was
in trailer as NHRA didnt run COMP at this event).
Did you know that most of those above "door cars" will be back NEXT WEEKEND
for the Divison 7 NHRA Lucas Oil Race at Wildhorse Pass.

Cody qualified #1 with that Cavalier pictured above running 8.65 Sec which is a full second
under the 9.65 Index. With 55 cars in Super Stock Cody had the bye run in first rd.....

In the second round Cody had a .001 RED LIGHT and lost.........

Bruce your pictures are some of the best drag racing PIT pictures Ive ever seen......I'm very impressed
by all the top racing personalities that stood with Holly for photos.....IF youre ever around the H&L pit
again I sure hope you'll introduce yourself to Jeff and Cody Lane....

I've been traveling with them to every Western US Race since 2013, but am backing off some this year.
I still go to his shop and help pull/install engines, trans, diffs and I polish the cars with my equipment.

I wish I could have went but had to work this weekend. Would have liked to take the car I just listed in the classified section. It would fit right in. Looks like it was a blast and perfect weather for it.

Here's the Sunday installment. We met up with Jean and Floyd Werlein today (Ken Tibor bought the red Nomad from them). They are great folks. This whole weekend has been a blast and we were also very fortunate to get introduced to Jeff, the public relations manager for DSR (Don Schumacher Racing). We are hopefully going to be working on a special project with him

Anyways, here are the pics for today...I didn't take a lot, as we went up into the stands to watch the racing today!

The future of NHRA is right here...these kids are great to talk to and are very passionate about racing!

Our good friend Wally Cahill interviewing Leah Pritchett for the local news station. Wally is the guy who arranged the meet up and TV with Tony Schumacher and Holly 7 years ago

Oh look, the family is on TV on the right....LOL

And Leah firing up her T/F on live TV!

And me making Jason Line stare into the sun (stupid me!)Such a nice guy!

And back to Wally with his long time friend Fast Jack Beckman...for another TV segment

Then we bounced back down to the Pro Stock pits and watched Greg Anderson (today's winner in Pro Stock) work on the car before the first weigh in. We also were able to talk to Ken Black and his wife Judy...both very nice people as well!

Some more miscellaneous shots....Greg Anderson taking a break to check out some of the top fuel action

Clay Millican hauling a$$

Brittany Force also haling a$$!

More random shots....

Greg Anderson coming back from weigh in...and saying hi to Lynn and Holly (He noticed that she had been patiently waiting to meet up with him....)

More from Greg Anderson later....back down towards the scales...and some random shots there

This was the eventual stock class winner Kyle Rizzoli's Camaro with a 0.024 reaction time and a 10.498 ET @ 118.52 mph. The pics were taken in the fuel sampling area

The last of the pics...DHL's JR Todd...whose funny car lost air pressure at the start line and couldn't run...he was not happy!

A few random shots from the pits

And Holly with Greg Anderson. He stood and talked to us for about 5 minutes. He thanked us for being patient, too
I asked him what he thought about the fuel injection and he laughed, then whispered that it would be nice to have the carburetors back! Holly told him that he was going to win today...and he smiled and said he hoped that she was right! (She was...he did win Pro Stock)

And we'll finish up where we started off the day...with the future of racing!

Great pictures Bruce! Long weekend I'm sure being there three days!

Greg is very talented racer and tuner...paid attention when he worked for Warren Johnson.

Thanks for sharing your time and photo's and Holly looks so happy to hang out at the track.
