Yep, that looks like one of them. They just got no style without the stripes and where would you mount a hood style tachometer on one of those things.

Hey Belair...That is the original Michigan Madman. The radio stations used to yell "SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY, see the Michigan Madman smoke the tires the entire length of the strip". I saw him once. Gave me goosebumps.

Mad Man Muntz from Missouri widing a small block powered bike was at the local track in the mid 60's and the motor didn't kill at the end of the track...he went off through the pines. Didn't get hurt too bad. Now that would have been a wild ride.

Would that be Mid America (MAR) in Wentzville? You start over the hill at the traps, then you gotta make a hard left...used to be part of a road coarse (now is the return road), and it literally wound around through the woods, with trees on the shoulder of the road!
