Where about did you live? I have a few friends who worked at Dale back in the day. Ironically, one of my stores neighbors the final Dale campus.

I'm in Hales Corners, Wisconsin...about 10 miles from Waukesha where Dale was in business.

No,Pulaski is due north about 150 miles of Hales Corners.
Even past Green Bay.

The racetrack disappeared about 10 years ago. It was about a half mile from my house. There's a Menard's on the site now. I'd go every Saturday night for the late models and would never miss a sprint car or midget show. In the pre-noise restriction days the sounds would rattle the windows and the dust wouild float by. Housing development put an end to those glorious days.

Dang it -- that track was of Southern Wisconsins best racing venues. You can throw Slinger in that mix too. I was born and raised in Shawano and the track at the fairgrounds still fills the stands when racing is in session. Those folks believe in &quot;Dirt’s for racin' ... asphalt for getting there&quot;.
