Default Spark Plugs for 454

I am newer to muscle cars and recently purchased a 70 Chevelle with a mild build 454. I noticed that stock Delco plugs were installed on the engine. Are these the best plugs available from a performance perspective for this engine? Has anybody tried a variety plugs for a big block Chevy and found one they like best?
Thanks

LS-5 or LS-6?
AC makes a great spark plug, just depends on your driving conditions for the car.
Many brands make good comparable plugs too.I run NGK brand.

----NGK's are good. I also like Autolite. When I raced that's all we used......Bill S

Autolite in my 427. They worked better than AC when mine was on the dyno.

I am correct in assuming I should be using the most basic plug rather than platinum or iridium tips?
