Default Straps, Tie Downs, Trailer Supplies, Etc

I recommend www.autohaulersupply.com for misc straps, ratchets to secure your car.
They main focus is the commercial car hauling industry. I have found that some of their
straps, hooks, etc are higher quality and less expensive than the boutique race car sites
that many restoration people buy from.

I have converted my ratchets to having a swivel J-hook that engages the D-ring in trailer
floor eliminating any strap at D-Ring end. This swivel Hook allows ratchet to remain level/even with floor and easier to operate
than when forced to one side or another.
Also this hook allows ratchet to be close to D ring and further away from car making for easier operation.

Ive also ordered 12K lb Diamond Weave Straps with a twisted snap hook vs a flat snap hook.

Has anybody used Horz E track on trailer floor with straps going over tires to secure ?????

I have E track in my car hauler & have been using the wheel baskets since trailer was new. I really like the way they hold the tires & not the suspension, allows car to float in travel.

I don't use the tire straps due to the concern of the tire losing air pressure and then you have a loose strap - happened to one of our Jr Dragsters (no damage thankfully!).

Marlin, My above 3/27 post made no mention of tire straps.......

I'm trying to help members save money by suggesting that
www.shipperssupplies.com has the variety of devices
commonly used in enclosed car trailers for good prices !!!

Tony, Of course not..........Find any 2" Ratchets, Hooks, Etc that are not mfg
in China, Off shore.......

There is a Diamond Weave USA 2" inch Polyester Strapping made in USA
but I opted to by a 300 foot roll of CHINESE 12,000 lb Polyester Strapping
to have my local fabricator sew for us.........

Tony, I'm thinking that those JEG's "special" Dragster Tire Straps
are assembled in USA from Components mfg offshore......

over and out, Chuck
