Default Trans Am pics and dealer items

bought a few things at an estate sale of a pontiac dealer salesman. high gloss 8x10 b&w promo pics and notepads. i have more pics but theyre stuck together..working on getting them apart without ruining them.

Notice that the promo picture for the 1973 SD-455 Trans Am is not a 1973 Firebird. Wrong grille and appears to have the wrong interior pattern for a '73.

Cool stuff though, thanks for sharing.

Not the first time Pontiac has done that. There are a handful of promo photos of this "1971" GTO. But it's really a 1970 with the 1971 front end.

Okay……a 1971 and 1970 GTO are basically the same except for the front clip. The only difference on the ‘71 I recall are a rear bumper with notches for bumper guards, seat upholstery, door panels, dash bezel and optional honeycomb wheels.

You also got the body colored adjustable mirrors on the GTO when you ordered the dual mirrors:

Same model. Same car. And I think (???) this color was not available in 1971. Please someone correct me if I am wrong

Correct. I lightened the shadows and you can see the honeycomb pattern of a 1972 grille.
