Default Pro Spot PR-10 spot welding system

I have a chance to buy one of these for pretty cheap. Way cheaper than the asking price for this one:

https://lombardequipment.com/product...e-spot-welder/

Comes with several extra extension arms in different configurations. It is in good working condition.

It isn't something I would use very often, but when you need it, spot welds sure look better than plug welds.... and much faster.

Anyone have any experience with this model?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, used that same spot welder when rebuilding my 69 Chevelle. Works great.

single phase..

2500 or less is what they bring all the time..ive taken dozens in trade in..ive bought and sold dozens..NO parts available but consumables...

BUT they are bullet proof..they will do a good weld even though only single phase...and they work well on old metal....

if ya look around they come up cheap...i bought one for my shop that was new....for $1200....it was installed...no one used it..it went in the corner...and that was that...i bought it, used it for awhile...and couldnt get $4000...and when i say it was new..i mean it was like brand new...one reason i snagged it for myself..

theres 3 available in Omaha for 2500 and less....

I sold them when they where newly released....and i sold a bunch...

all of this is BS..kinda

Boron.... maybe
High Strength Steel...iffy
Advanced High Strength Steel..no way
Ultra Advanced High Strength Steel..nah
T.R.I.P....lol....

there isnt enough squeeze pressure for these high tech metals....no way no how..will it weld? yes..will they stick..prob not

Went for just over 1500

I had set a limit at 1477, so I let it go. Other bidder may have been willing to go even higher.

No regrets. But, it was worth a shot. It sat for 12 days with zero bids.

Just keep an eye out for the next one to come up and you'll probably get it for less.
