Fantastic video!!!

My friend Nick Morocco is preparing to build this exact transmission for my 69 W31. I am excited that it has a true RockCrushing whine.

What rear gears do you have?
I have 3.42's

Does first gear feel too numerically high? ( Is first gear over too soon) Is the gear spacing too wide? (Is there a big between gears)
By the video the answers are no, no, no, no

Plus the reverse lock out:-)

I had a guy ask me if he could run beside my Nova so he could hear the whine in low gear!

Hey Ryan1969 Chevelle..i'm running a 3.31 12bolt...and i have a 255R15 BF Goodrich radial tire on the rear...i think the gear spacing is very nice, like a typical wide ratio when you hit 4th gear..the 2.98 first gear really helps on the clutch and i don't believe it's over too soon.....i like the amount of noise ,also this was with the windows up..if you roll them down, obviously louder...thanks for asking about it and watching the video....i just put in the reverse Loc/Out..i think it's cool....Hey, 1969L78Nova...think you could post a video ...we need to get some more gear whine videos

Perfect combination:-)

My car will rev a little bit higher at highway speed, 3.31 vs 3.42 (mine) and 29.1 inch tall tires vs 28.2 (mine)

Great video (thanks for sharing)

I had a '70 M-22 in my '67 Camaro back in the early '80s and it made a wonderful howl. Add the Pete Jackson gear drive and it would turn heads. Sounded great in tunnels, underpasses, etc. The howl became a shriek at high rpm.
