Default How to Test a Radio?

I am stumped. Not hard to do unfortunately.

I bought a 30 amp power supply and have hooked it to the power terminal on the radio. Hooked a ground wire to the ground terminal and also grounded the speaker. I can't even get power to any of the radios I am trying to test. What am I doing wrong?

By the way I did have the power switch in the on position when I tried to test them.

Attach the ground clip to the radio case. I believe the ground your using is the speaker ground.

Do you have speakers hooked up to it?
If not,and are going by just seeing if the dial light glows, you might want to hook up speakers instead.
You may be doing the right thing, but the Dial light is burned out,or an internal malfunction also.
