Default 1971 LS5 512 Engine

Complete engine needed for my 06A 1971 chevelle. Prefer a CE but am open to other complete engines or buildable blocks.

I was going to post the '71 LS5 on ebay, but I see you are on Chevelle Parts online garage Sale fb page and someone posted it on there for you. I think it is an earlier build date.

Yes the build date is too early.

With that being said - what would be around the earliest expected cast date from an 06A car?

Also - I have seen mountains of blocks but yet to see a CE 512 block from later in 71. What did they do warranty swaps with on 71 LS5 cars?

I don't think this date will work for you, but I have a T1112CRW stamped 4 bolt 289 block. It has a '72 Chevelle vin.

Thanks for the offer but being this car is a 1 of 1 it has to be right. I am working with guy who pulled motor in 1975 as he may be able to get me the block again.
