It's a small block SS that was converted to 454 at a later time in it's life by an owner. Has POP, showing it was sold at Berger, has "by Berger" emblem on it.

Oh!
Why is it being advertised as a 'thoroughbred investment muscle car' then

Maybe those people feel because it is an SS its the ticket! I guess I could consider my 1969 SS nova a Supercar because in 1970 I installed an LT1 from the dealer. Must of made it a COPO Nova. People just mislead everything it seems.

I think that I have talked to the owner once before. The car was cordovan maroon SB converted to BB. Was on Trader for a while for around 8-9k. Bet it will be more on this trip.

I just talked to Dennis Barker last week about Berger super novas. He said that they believe there were around 10 built, and they have never seen one in as he says"the modern era".It would be interesting to see the docs as Berger may be the only ones who could verify it as real. Schonye

Sounds good to me! I hope those nova guys have more luck than I did. I called Berger about 5 times asking them questions on my Z. No luck!!! I keep telling these muscle head guys that at any time in the old days you could get the Dealership to do anything you basically wanted to you car. Mullin Motors would install anything I wanted on my nova in 1969. You just had to pay them. Just the other day I was taliking to a firend of mine and he told me that he bought a 1968 375 hp camaro new. He spun a bearing under warranty and he paid the extra to have a 427 installed. They also installed headers for him. He said the car remained under warranty also. So that means it must have been documented. This was Reedman in Langhorne, Pa. You just never know!
