Crazy Expensive Orig Paint '63 Fuelie SWC Corvette
Neat car, but I can think of a number of other cars I'd rather have for $260k.

Been for sale awhile. Maybe the price isn't crazy given the one that just sold on BAT for $341K. No pictures of the pad or tags that I can see. If they spent $1250 with Al Grenning to get the car CCAS certified, that would drive the price up tremendously. The B=pillar rust is troubling but not fatal by any means. Mine is way better than this one and a rust-free CCAS certified car, and I wouldn't pay $260K for it.....
Still has the original S-tube on the FI, which is nearly impossible to find. |

The ‘63 SWC on BaT recently is a restored car with probably no worries.
This ‘63 on eBay “looks” to be a Survivor that probably does have concerns mechanically, but I love the patina / character of this car.

Apparently the '63 SWC's were not well received by some folks back in the day and we've heard stories of some owners cutting out the middle bar.Anyone know it for a fact or is it all B.S.?

I heard/read that hundreds of times. I think it is mostly urban myth. There was an article in Hot Rod or other publication about that mod back in the day. How many people actually did it? Who knows. It would be a ton of work.
