I wasn't alive then, so what I'm gonna say has more to do with my 1980s paradigm:

If I see a LeMans, etc. dressed up like that, I think it's clapped-out. Perhaps for a GTO it would work for my eyes, but a T-37 should use more subtle mods. I guess the spoiler is throwing me off, as the rest sounds fine.

One wheel that I've always liked was offered by Oldsmobile for their big cars but also offered by a company (Motor Wheel?) and called it the "Exciter" I think? They're polycast like Honeycombs.

Cragar S/Ss or American 200S "daisy" spokes would look good for a 1970-71 Day 2 look.

Appearance mods will be very mild: monochrome paint, ladder bars, tow tabs and wheels. Spoiler is definitely out of the question. lol

Pretty sure I have the wheel selection narrowed down to the Appliance Dia-Mag.

442W30: Exciter wheel looks kind of bland to me?

Sounds more 1980's than 1970's, but to each their own.

I guess they were called Sunfire's in the 70's. Attached is a Appliance Sunfire dated 1974. I suppose even that is a little late for "Day 2"
