Default M-22 in 70 Z-28?

Experts -- was the M-22 available as an option on the 70' Z-28? Craig

I purchased a M-22 that came out of an original 1970 Z/28. It was the early style with the 10 spline input and 27 spline output shaft.

The only 1970 M22 to have the fine spline input and large output was the Chevelle 454 to my knowledge. Yes on the 70 Z with the M22.

IIRC - I could swear the 70 Corvette ZR1 used the M22 with the fine spline input shaft as well... I have one in a storage container around here somewhere and if memory serves.

FWIW - IMO All 70 Camaros with M22 were small input and output, 71/72 was fine spline input large output. Guy I work for has a survivor 02/D 1970 Z28 with small input/output, he also used to have a 04C 1970 Z28 and it was small input/output also.
All Chevelle 454 cars with M22 were fine/large as stated.
