Default 69camaro cowl overspray

so was the cowl on the car or off when a 69 Camaro got Z stripes you see some cars with a lot of overspray and some with no so much

Early cars were really sloppy. Eventually masked off so only the plenum area received stripe color.

The vent grille was not mounted during paint. It hung alongside the roof; masked later for the Z/28 style striping.
