My father in law has a Metallic brown 73 Riv that he tows his 24" checkmate to the river on weekends. Those 455's have tons of torque!

I've heard somewhere that only around 200 Stage 1 Rivieras were built. Anyone know a different number?

In 1973 the Stage 1 option was $139. I assume it was the same for 1974 Last edited by Lee Stewart; 07-23-2018 at 10:16 PM. |

I have to admit. I worked at a Buick dealership in the 70's. I saw plenty of Stage I Buicks, but don't ever remember seeing a 1973 Stage I Riv. Probably some that came through, but I don't remember seeing one.

If I remember correctly in 70 the emblems were on the fenders. They were GS Stage 1 Riv's.
