Wow, they just keep popping up, don't they! The Ford purists are probably cringing seeing an AC oil filter on the bare block

Yup, they are out there. This is the 2nd one I've documented in the past few months. And I know of two more 68 GT500KR's hanging around that I have yet to go see in person, but the owners sent me pictures.

Indeed, and the two KR's I know of are both the same blue as well!
