250K car yikes. I just don't see this turning out well. Didn't Bob pass away? That's too bad.

Let us know if and when it hits ebay. I would like to watch that auction. I am not a buyer at this time. Just curious.

I would think that car would bring at least $50K. Maybe even $75K. I guess we will see.

Mark,

I wonder if putting it in a car auction would bring more money than ebay? If you have a very unique/desirable car the auction houses can do a real good job of marketing them before the auctions. I'm very impressed with the print material Mecum puts together on the high dollar cars that they have at their auctions.

Here's a perfect example of a unique car that can't seem to bring the money.

It's a 72 Shelby De Mexico Mustang. Basically a Shelby for Mexico. Granted the 351 is missing in action and a 302 is in the car now. But how many of these are still around and how many are in US collections? Not many I bet.

Even with Shelby passing, this car can't bring 25k (its been up several times). To a Shelby collector that has everything else, you'd think someone would snatch this one up just for the history.

Anyway, just an example of rare is not always in demand. I would imagine that the notchback hurts the value and the unrestored status. But the Shelby heritage should make this a budget bang for the buck entry into the club.

I know it's Mexico vs. Canada, but thought this was relevant.

Perfect example of a Pontiac dealer made up "special looking" car . . . 1970 The Jury. So isn't it worth say $150,000? How about $200,000. Are you laughing yet?

That's all the Black Panther is . . . a Chevrolet dealer made up special looking car. And not a successful one either. 25 of The Jury were sold. How many Black Panthers?

Guys, don't get me wrong, it's a nice car. but I stated on the first page I figure you might get $50K CND. It is a Camaro and it is a Panther. Now for me, I don't know if I would pay theat when there was these at Mecum:

1968 HEMI GTX SOLD for $57,200
https://www.mecum.com/lots/AZ0319-36...outh-hemi-gtx/

Or this W31 SOLD for $31,900
https://www.mecum.com/lots/AZ0319-37...-cutlass-w-31/

1967 HEMI GTX SOLD for $56,650
https://www.mecum.com/lots/AZ0319-37...outh-hemi-gtx/

This one I would have probably been all over
1966 Chevelle SS396 SOLD for $31,900
https://www.mecum.com/lots/AZ0319-37...t-chevelle-ss/

There is a lot of cars around that 50K range so the market could be a tough deal.
