How Many Rare Cars Went This Route?

3 Camaros a racin from a local track near my house..a local guy(Nick Masierelli-owned 2 of the Hemi Barracuda convertibles and raced both) bought a '70 Hemi Barracuda that was in a garage fire when near new and he turned it into a stock car..ran the Hemi for a while, all the local racers complained but the car was really a slug and he went faster when he put in a 340.

I will find a pick of a 1965 K-code fastback a local guy ran at the stock car track just because he had it and it was available..rust free

What's sad is most of these cars were probably fairly rust free.

Nick Masciarelli original Hemi Cuda with Deak Parsons driving.

T.A Sikora from Maynard Ohio bought the car new and it was in a garage fire and Nick bought it s ainsurance wreck when he owned Auto Body Sales.

Nick Masciarelli owned more rare Hemi and 6 pack cars than anyone.

Wonder what happened to the car? Andy Hogan from PA was the last owner.

A local guy, Hazelwood, Pa's , Bob Jones bought a 71 B5 Blue Hemi car out of W.Va. with 400 miles, setup for SS/D about 74-75
(with a spun bearing)
Had Stones on it, Rat Roaster, It was a "SS Stone" couldn't get out of the Mid 12's or Stay together...... whereabouts unknown... Was a gorgeous car ....for a Mopar.....

I live 20 minutes from Port Royal speedway. I just had a guy tell me this week he bought a 70 Z28 for $125 and cut the body panels off for a street stock.

It is amazing to me how many cars did survive. My brothers and their friends bought, raced and thrashed these cars back in the day. Most got wrecked, some multiple times, then came the rust. Or, the cars got stolen. Most returned minus a bunch of parts.

I recall going to many drag races where most of the cars were 1st gen camaros. They were beat on mercilessly.

Really makes you appreciate the cars that did survive.

This was when most of these cars we're crying about were wrecks, rusted, wore out and dime a dozen.....

we cut up and lightened a '68 Z/28 RS Cowl Plenum 4:56 rear, fold down seat, deluxe interior tach - gauge etc.etc. Red n black car because it was rusty, cheap, worth way more in parts & '68's made the Best Race Cars.....Ran 10.70's w/ 350 -DougNash, 1 PC lift off glass....in '80-"81.....
Most 64 & 64 Chevelles ended up on the Dirt from New England to the Deep South from Mid West to the West Coast.....Ever try to find a "Clean Malibu SS" ?

k-code fastback and 71-73 Camaro and what appears to be a clean 67-68 Camaro. IN '77 thta was basically a 10 year old car.

True that....this was a really nice red SS...that my friend Dave got in trade for working on someone's semi. We made it into an Ascot street stock race car....
