Default 67 promo firebird?

My buddy has a 67 bird convertible and I never realized when he told me it is serial number 17 that maybe it is a protype. He got car from original lady owner. It was mostly original although he is a goofball and painted it and changed some things. I remembered that the first camaros were gold, this car is gold also. Can anyone verify this?

Prototypes are not production cars. Perhaps you think it's a pilot car?

PHS for sure. Paging Mike Noun!

Email Don Keefe over at Poncho Perfection mag. If it’s a rare one, you never know, he may even want to have it in the mag.
His mag is the only all Pontiac magazine left.

I went and saw the car...it is serial number 20017... not number 17 production. Number 20,017 of production. My buddy was really sad when I pointed that out to him.. he has been telling everyone the wrong story

Sorry for the hype guys..

At least he didn't become "that guy" trying to convince everyone at shows.

Or on Youtube:

Anyway, it could still be an interesting car but PHS is required to determine that.
