Default Best source for touch up paint

Helping a buddy get a 69 Camaro ready to sell. Has some tiny areas that need touch up.

Base Coat clear coat BASF paint. Dusk Blue and Dover White. I believe both are pretty true to the original lacquer in color.

Where would be the best place to get base clear touch up paint to match the factory color?

Found one place on line, but was very leary after reading this: "Your 69 Camaro came from the factory in base coat clear coat..." etc. telling me how their touch up is the best match.

Any help appreciated.

Lynn

I would go to a paint store and have them match with their spectrometer. I think that is the closest match you will get unless you have an old school guy that is good at matching.

I don't have a small panel I can take to the store. Do they have a hand held they can use now? It has been a lot of years since I tried to match paint. I can take the car to the paint store.

Yes, it is a handheld unit they can bring out of the car.
