Default Gas Tank

When you restore a car what do most peoply use, a steel or stainless steel gas tank?

For correct restoration, I think most use the original looking galvanized steel reproductions. The GM ones may still be available, but I've heard that since they are shipped bare, it's hard to find one that's not scratched up.
